Travelling abroad by company car

When using the company car on a holiday trip, the following issues have to be taken into consideration:

Insurance Green Card

In most EU member states licence plates are considered sufficient proof of insurance coverage, nonetheless it is recommended to get an Insurance Green Card. In many countries outside the EU Insurance Green Card is mandatory.
Vehicles insured via LeasePlan automatically obtain an Insurance Green Card valid for three years upon delivery of the vehicle. This card is enclosed in the Driver Handbook. In case of expiry of the card, please contact our contract management department (Abteilung Vertragsmanagement) on  +43 (1) 60102-250 and you will receive a new card immediately.  In case your vehicle is not insured via LeasePlan you will obtain your Insurance Green Card from your insurance company upon request.

Authorization/Right of Use

If you want to travel abroad in a vehicle which is not registered in your name, it is highly recommended to carry an Authorization/Right of Use certificate, the form of which is available in several languages as a download under e-information and Services.

Safety vest
