Geneva Motor Show
March 2-12, 2006

SUVs, vans, convertibles/coupés were the most exciting novelties in Geneva. Numerous studies furnish evidence of the innovative power of the automotive industry

Small and big - no difference?

The trend towards vans will continue. This can be seen from the numerous novelties presented at the Geneva Motor Show 2006. These cars are all characterized by their spacious interior, the elevated position of front seats, the image of solidity they present and last but not least by their variability. In addition to that 2006 will be the year of the sun lovers among the European car drivers: almost every manufacturer will introduce a convertible in 2006, CC models with foldable hard tops being the most preferred products in this sector. Numerous studies furnish proof of the fact that there are no limits to the exceptional ideas of innovative designers. There are exciting novelties to look forward to on this market

Fiat Sedici
Fiat’s new model in the crossover segment. With its higher ride height, five doors, fold-down rear seats and large hatch it perfectly fulfils day-to-day needs. Due to its compact dimensions, AWD on demand (by pressing a button), more ground clearance and plastic trims on the body, the Sedici is also tailored to the needs of city dwellers looking for the kick of offroad driving.

Ford Focus Coupe-Cabriolet
In the fall of 2006, the Ford Focus CC will be available from our dealers. Contrary to its “brother”, produced by the same group of companies, the Volvo C70, the retractable hard top consists of two separate roof panels. Price and equipment have not been fixed as yet.

Audi A6 Allroad
From now on the current A6 model is also available in a sport utility version. As in the case of its predecessor, the new all-terrain vehicle is also based on the A6 Avant model. Thus, the interior is almost identical. Visible differences are higher ground clearance and the plastic trims on the body. Four-wheel-drive in the standard version.

Ford Galaxy / S-Max
The successor of the current Galaxy is a pure and genuine Ford product, based on the forthcoming Mondeo platform. Two variations of this model will be available:  the S-Max as the sportive variation with a sloping roofline is offered as a five-seater (standard), with two additional seats as an option. The Galaxy, which is a little longer, is available as a seven-seater in all versions and has a larger trunk. For the first time in Ford history, the new fold-flat seat system is being employed:  the back seat rows are individually adjustable and can be flat-folded, thus creating an even loading platform.  In both models the interior is characterized by highly sportive styling and – for the first time – a panoramic roof with storage compartments will be available as an option.

Volvo S80
Volvo’s new high-class model follows the traditional design features of its Scandinavian car designers:  with its high waistline and the almost coupé-like roofline it has turned out to be an elegant and classy sedan. Inside the car features a thin center stack first seen in the S40. The materials employed leave the impression of being of high quality and it can be taken for granted that a large variety of color combinations will be available.

Skoda Roomster
The new Skoda model line is reminiscent of the Renault Kangoo.
